Randy Carlyle's NHL career has taken him through 17 seasons as a player with three franchises, which then led to 11 seasons (and counting) as a coach. Playing in a total of 1,055 games as a defenseman, Carlyle excelled at his position, was chosen four times as an all-star, and has continued to succeed long after hanging up his blades.

Career Highlights:

In his 17 seasons in the NHL, Carlyle succeeded the 50-point plateau in five seasons, also appearing in 69 post-season NHL games.
After his playing days ended, Carlyle spent six seasons with the Manitoba Moose, appearing in the Calder Cup Finals and acclamation as the franchise's General Manager and Club President.
In August of 2005, Carlyle was named head coach of the Anaheim Ducks and in his first season set club records for most standing points, most wins, and most home wins.
In the 2005 season, Carlyle led the Ducks to the Western Conference Finals in his first year with the organization.
