Tom Renney's legacy in coaching began over fourteen years ago with the Kamploops Blazers of the Western Hockey League. He has coached on every level, including leading teams in the Winter Olympics, and now rests as a top coach in the NHL.
Career Highlights:
- In two seasons with the Kamploops Blazers compiled a .714 winning percentage, which ranks as all-time highest in CHL history.
- Joined as head coach of Team Canada in 1993 and has coached in 10 world championship competitions- totaling three gold medals, three silver, and two bronze.
- Made his NHL coaching debut with the Vancouver Canucks in 1996
- After two seasons, Renney relocated his coaching to the New York Rangers organization.
- The 2006-2007 season marks Renney's third full season as head coach of the Rangers.
