Hugh Douglas is a former NFL  defensive end, whose playing career included the New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars, and two stints with the Philadelphia Eagles.  Douglas ended his career in 2005, and is often remembered for his passionate love for the Eagles franchise. He will continue to be a houshold name in Philly as his voice on sports radio station WIP-AM is a constant reminder of his Philadelphia pride.
Career Highlights:
  • In his first season, 1995, was named Defensive Rookie of the Year
  • Led the 1996 Jacksonville team for the second straight year with eight sacks.
  • Recorded his first Interception in 2000 off of Atlanta Falcons, Chris Chandler
  • Earned his first ever Pro Bowl bid as a starting Defensive End following the 2000 season after ranking fourth in the NFL with a career high of 15 sacks
  • Earned a repeat trip to the Pro Bowl in 2001 as a starter, and for the second straight year led the Eagles in sacks.
  • In 2002 made a third trip to the Pro Bowl, selected also as first team All-Pro by Football Digest
  • Finished his career third on the Philadelphia Eagles all-time sack list with 54.5

Hugh is known for his presence in the locker room and on the field. An avid fan of the Incredible Hulk, Douglas parallels his personality with that of the Hulk saying, "One person on the field, another person off of it". His witty sense of humor and ability to connect to any audience makes him a great fit for any event.
