On a Saturday in September, with less then two minutes remaining in the game against rival Ohio State, Adam Taliaferro made a routine helmet-to-helmet tackle that would change the course of his life. The Voorhees New Jersey native had broken his neck--the same injury suffered by Christopher Reeves. He lay motionless on the field. Given only a 3% chance of ever walking again, Adam had very different ideas and today he not only walks, but he walks well. His inspirational story and life make Adam a celebrated speaker to all who hear his story.
Career Highlights:
- Adam graduated from Penn State, on time, in 2005. In his remaining time at school, he received the Maxwell Football Club's Spirit Award and served Coach Paterno as a student assistant coach.
- Though, playing football is no longer in Adam's future, his inspirational tale of recovery has been followed in Happy Valley as well as the nation. Leading authors, Scott Brown and Sam Carchidi chronicle his remarkable story in their 2001 book, " Miracle in the Making."

Adam is currently attending law school in New Jersey, and continuing to provide hope for so many people who feel that there is no reason to hope at all. He is the personification of triumph over tragedy, an inspiration to his teammates, his Penn State family, and anyone who hears his story. Books Miracle in the Making: The Adam Taliaferro Story
