Peter Horachek was named an assistant coach of the Nashville Predators on June 19, 2003 and helped guide them to a playoff birth in his first season behind the bench. His offensive mind set led to the Predators finishing with a franchise record 72 power-play goals in the 2003-2004 season. As a former player/coach, Horachek also won many minor league championships and took home the IHL’s Coach of the Year in 2001.
Career Highlights:
- In 545 professional games he registered 188 goals and 238 assists for a total of 426 points.
- Coached the Trenton Titans of the ECHL to a Northern Conference Championship in 2001-2002.
- IHL Coach of the Year in 2001.
- In 2002-2003 led the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL to their first playoff series win since 1998.
- Named Nashville Predators assistant coach on June 19, 2003.
- Coached a power-play unit that set a Predators franchise 72 goals.
