Widely considered as "The Greatest Dribbler" in the history of basketball, Marques Haynes played professional basketball for 51 years.  He began as a high school and college star which then launched his career with The Harlem Globetrotter's as a player/coach.  He later created his own team called the Harlem Magicians.  Haynes was also the first Globetrotter to ever be enshrined in the Basketball Hall of Fame.
Career Highlights:
  • High School All-American who led Booker T. Washington High School in Oklahoma to 2 State Championships and a National Championship.
  • Starred at Langston University as an all conference guard.  He led his team in scoring for four years, and assisted in winning four conference championships.
  • Served as a player/Coach for the Harlem Globetrotters for 14 years.
  • Created his own team called the Harlem magicians who traveled the world playing games.
  • Played in over 12,000 games with over 250,000 points
  • Traveled to 103 countries to play basketball
  • Enshrined in twelve Halls of Fame, including being the first Globetrotters player to be selected into the Basketball Hall of Fame.
  • Had his #20 Jersey retired by the Globetrotters.
